Camberwell Artsweek takes place in London across
SE5 and SE15 with a few satellite venues in SE21.
As part of Camberwell Artsweek you are able to see
Chrys' prints and drawings in Camberwell galleries ('Impress' print
show 2002 also included Tracey Emin, Peter Blake and others). The
Jamworks studio, workshop and exhibition space is open to the public.
You are invited to see the work and are welcome to ask questions about
the processes involved. Other artists and makers are on show: Karin
Hanlon, (Jewelry and accessories); Sara Willett (paintings and prints).
One day printworkshops are also linked to the
Artsweek.
It is a unique opportunity to see the weird and
wonderful, the cutting edge and the conventional. Camberwell has a long
tradition of artists and entertainers, it is as "happening" a
place now as ever.
Jenny Eclaire, Zandra Rhodes and more than 100
other local artists and musicians invite the public to join in.
The Artsweek spills out beyond the walls
of the Arts School, The South London Gallery, and artists studios and onto
the streets. Not only are there exhibitions and events but also outdoor activities;
Camberwell Church Street, The Green and Lucas Gardens become venues for community
based projects and parties.
